Entry to Château d’Angers is through the main gate on Promenade du Bout du Monde, where you’ll scan your ticket and pass a quick security check before heading inside.

Chateau d'Angers
  • No locker facility is available at the Chateau d'Angers, so carry luggage accordingly.  
  • The upper floors of the royal lodge are only open and accessible to visitors during temporary exhibitions. You can refer to the castle’s official website to check out the temporary and permanent exhibitions.  
  • No pets are allowed. Only sighted companions or service pets are allowed at the Chateau d'Angers. 
  • Walk along the ramparts of the Chateau d'Angers to enjoy some of the most stunning views of the city of Angers. 
  • Don’t forget to visit the Tour du Moulin. This tower is the only tower at the castle that has retained its original altitude. The other towers have been cut down for use as infrastructure material.
